Alpha WSERD30-B 1/30C Rechargeable Blind Motor
The Alpha WSERD30-B 1/30C is a compact 1Nm rechargeable tubular motor designed for convenient, quiet and cable-free motorisation of compatible blinds up to 2 metres high × 2 metres wide.
Featuring a built-in rechargeable lithium battery, integrated receiver and electronic limit switch, the motor provides a clean installation without requiring a separate external receiver or permanent mains power connection.
The latest WSERD30-B 1/30C uses 5V USB-C charging, making periodic recharging straightforward with the compatible Alpha ALDC 5V-C charger.
With adjustable operating speeds, ultra-quiet performance, a third intermediate limit position and compatibility with Alpha’s NEO smart-control system, the WSERD30-B 1/30C combines everyday convenience with flexible control.
Built-In Rechargeable Lithium Battery
The Alpha WSERD30-B 1/30C contains its rechargeable lithium battery within the motor.
This makes it particularly useful for retrofit motorisation and installations where running permanent mains wiring to the blind would be difficult, expensive or undesirable.
The motor can remain installed while its internal battery is periodically recharged using the appropriate charging equipment.
Alpha recommends charging the motor at least every six months to maintain the battery.
New 5V USB-C Charging System
This newer version of the WSERD30-B 1/30C uses a 5V USB-C charging system.
Alpha specifies:
ALDC Charger: 5V / 1A
Compatible charging accessories include the Alpha ALDC 5V-C Charger with 3-metre cable, while USB-C extension cables are available in 20cm and 3m lengths.
A compatible TYB004 solar panel is also available where solar charging is appropriate for the installation.
1Nm Torque
The Alpha WSERD30-B 1/30C has a rated torque of 1Nm.
Alpha specifies a maximum lifting capacity of a blind up to 2m high × 2m wide.
Actual suitability should always be determined according to the complete blind installation, including its dimensions, weight, tube and other relevant components.
Adjustable Motor Speed
The motor provides three selectable output speeds:
20 / 25 / 30 rpm
This allows the operating speed to be adjusted according to the requirements of the installation and preferred blind movement.
Rather than being locked to one fixed operating speed, the motor can be configured to provide the appropriate balance of movement speed and operation.
Ultra-Quiet Operation
Alpha lists ultra-quiet operation as one of the key features of the Alpha WSERD30-B range.
Quiet motor operation is particularly valuable in bedrooms, living spaces, offices and other environments where unnecessary mechanical noise can be distracting.
Electronic Limit Switch
The Alpha WSERD30-B 1/30C uses an electronic limit switch.
The upper and lower stopping positions can be configured electronically, allowing the motor to recognise where the blind should stop when travelling in either direction.
The motor also supports a third intermediate limit position, providing an additional preferred stopping point between the fully open and fully closed positions.
This can be useful when a blind is regularly positioned at a particular intermediate height.
Built-In Receiver
A receiver is built directly into the motor, allowing it to communicate with compatible Alpha control products without requiring a separate external radio receiver.
The integrated design helps simplify the overall motorised blind installation.
No External Aerial
Alpha specifically lists no aerials as a feature of the WSERD30-B 1/30C.
With the radio-control system integrated into the motor, the installation avoids the external aerial arrangement associated with some motor and receiver systems.
Patented Coreless Technology
The WSERD30-B incorporates Alpha’s patented coreless technology as part of its motor design.
Combined with the rechargeable battery, integrated receiver, electronic limits and adjustable speed, this contributes to a compact motor system designed specifically for rechargeable blind applications.
NEO App Control
The WSERD30-B 1/30C supports NEO app control when used with the appropriate compatible Alpha smart-control equipment.
This allows the motor to become part of a connected Alpha motorised blind system rather than being limited to conventional handheld remote operation.
Customers wanting smart-home control should ensure the appropriate Alpha NEO equipment is included in their system.

Lithium Battery Safety
The Alpha WSERD30-B 1/30C contains a rechargeable lithium battery and should be charged, handled and stored according to Alpha’s safety instructions.
Disconnect the charger once the green light indicates a full charge. Alpha warns against overcharging because excessive charging may cause overheating and present a fire risk.
Avoid exposing the motor to high temperatures or prolonged direct sunlight.
If you notice unusual warmth, discolouration or odours, disconnect the motor from the power source and stop using it immediately.
Store the motor in a cool, dry location away from flammable materials. Alpha specifies a storage temperature range of -20°C to +65°C.
Always use the charger supplied with the motor or an approved replacement charger.
Lithium batteries must be disposed of according to applicable local regulations and must not be incinerated or submerged in water.
Alpha recommends charging the motor every six months and ensuring children do not play with the motor or remote control.
